Kendji Girac raises his head. His reconstruction after the tragedy which almost cost him his life is the central theme of his new album “Vivre…”, which sold 70,000 copies in three months. Through the first single “If only…”, the famous gypsy singer asks his audience for forgiveness after this affair which damaged his image. “ I didn’t think I would ever get lost but it happened. It goes to show that we have weaknesses. You shouldn’t hide them. When we are fragile, we are human, we have the right to go as low as possible. But what’s incredible is when you go down the lowest, the light you can see at the end of the tunnel, it’s wonderful » attests the 27-year-old musician, who was hospitalized for a gunshot wound following a domestic dispute.

“I have changed so much”
Conceived largely alongside Vianney, this new album includes another key song evoking this tragedy: “J’ai change”. Chosen as the second single, this title sees Kendji Girac address his partner Soraya and apologize, she who unwittingly found herself at the heart of the news. “ There are many very different things [qui ont été dites] on her. The most important thing is that we knew the truth. Right after, I went into the studio, I was thinking about that and I said to Vianney: “I want to make a song for my wife where I tell her that she doesn’t worry and that she has always his Kendji who has returned, more true, protective and solid than ever” » he explained on the set of “C à vous”.
The result is this “I have changed” where Kendji promises to become a better man: “ I changed for you / I changed so much / I made my choice / For a thousand years “. In order to prove his good faith, the singer treats himself to a vacation in the mountains with his other half, between a walk in the snow, a ski session, an encounter with wolves or a pancake break. Note that after a burst of concerts at festivals this summer, the artist will launch a major Zenith tour in early 2026 to celebrate his 10-year career. This will stop on March 14 at the Accor Arena in Paris.
