FC Barcelona – Real Madrid. How much does the Spanish Super Cup bring in?

In the imbroglio which pits it against the Spanish League, Dani Olmo’s Barça would be well inspired to win the Spanish Super Cup and the bonus that goes with it.

The 2025 Spanish Super Cup, which takes place in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, is particularly lucrative for the four clubs competing in it.

Up to almost €5 million for the winner of FC Barcelona – Real Madrid

Finalists this Sunday evening, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, qualified thanks to their performances in La Liga, will each receive 2.8 million euros in participation bonus, while Athletic Bilbao, winner of the Copa del Rey, will receive 1.55 million and its finalist, RCD Mallorca, 750,000 euros.

The final prize is also substantial: the winner will pocket an additional 2 million euros, compared to 1 million for the finalist. Thus, the winner of the duel between Barça and Real Madrid will see their total winnings approach 5 million euros.

A controversial format due to the agreement with Saudi Arabia

The four teams will also benefit from an envelope of 300,000 euros to cover their travel and accommodation costs. This competition, whose format pits the first two in the championship against the finalists of the King’s Cup, ends this Sunday, January 12 at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium.

This tournament is part of a controversial agreement between the Spanish Federation and Saudi Arabia, running until 2029, which raises ethical questions despite the significant economic fallout for Spanish football.
