As expected, the Anderlecht U23s are moving. Direction Deinze, whose stadium no longer has any residents following the bankruptcy of the local club.
No more King Baudouin Stadium, dreary and empty, for the RSCA Futures! The young players of Sporting d’Anderlecht will end the season at the SK Deinze stadium, starting this Saturday and the reception of Jong Genk. A change made possible, of course, by the bankruptcy of the Deinze club at the end of 2024.
RSC Anderlecht made the news official this Thursday, after an agreement was reached with the municipality of Deinze and the stadium owners. The Futures will end the season there (we still don’t know what will happen in the future).
-The Deinze stadium is around a 45-minute drive from Anderlecht, so not next door for RSCA supporters. Subscribers to Team A matches will retain free access to Futures matches.
“At the request of the municipality of Deinze, KMSK Deinze supporters will also be able to attend RSCA Futures matches free of charge upon presentation of their KMSK Deinze subscription for the 2024-2025 season,” specifies the Sporting press release. A great initiative to bring a little balm to the hearts of Deinze supporters, now deprived of a club.
