Standard, which is still not open to a transfer of Arnaud Bodart, could soon receive an offer from FC Metz, interested in his profile.
The situation is slowly settling for Arnaud Bodart. According to the newspaper L’Equipe, the Standard goalkeeper, who has already refused a Belgian offer this winter, could finally leave for France. FC Metz, fourth in Ligue 2 and engaged in the race for promotion to Ligue 1, would be tempted to position themselves on the profile of the 26-year-old goalkeeper.
The French club would like to take advantage of Bodart’s experience to glean valuable points and remain in a good position in this fight for a rise in Ligue 1. No offer has yet been made, but this could change in the coming days.
Credibility index: 66%
The Standard is in the logic of things. Already last summer, the Rouches had opened the door to a departure from Bodart, which could bring in around 2.5 million euros. A departure this winter, while the goalkeeper’s contract expires in June, is a real possibility. Metz has a project, but it will be necessary to show intelligence, by taking out the checkbook for the one who remains a sure value for Liégeois. The operation is very credible, if everyone puts water in their wine.
