For Jean-Philippe Béziat, the 2025 Dakar will be different from the others since he will drive a 4×4 truck with Jérôme Pelichet, team director and co-driver well known in the off-road world with 18 Dakars under his belt. There will be three of them in the beast to face the desert of Saudi Arabia, from Thursday January 2 to Friday January 17.
Motorcycles, cars, trucks…
Jean-Philippe Béziat introduces himself: “My thirty years of racing allowed me to start with motorcycles, quads, cars and now a large truck. It’s a 4-wheel drive, 800 HP, 165 kilometers per hour and a weight of 5 tonnes The truck is a challenge because physically surviving 10,000 km in a country with multiple landscapes requires exemplary physical preparation. Both the men and the machines will have to be managed. I’m leaving with Jérôme Pelichet who will coach me throughout these fourteen days of intense racing.” This will allow Jean-Philippe Béziat to acquire new skills and have all the strings to his bow in order to help all possible teams during the next Dakar.
The men are part of the Raidlynx Pelichet team, Mercedes truck n. 909, on the classic Dakar 2025. An extraordinary challenge to follow on France Télévisions channels and on dakar.com
