To strengthen itself, Liverpool would consider recruiting a promising Algerian striker playing in the Eredivisie.
Unlike the discretion of last summer, Liverpool should be more active on the transfer market. In the summer of 2024, only two players were recruited: Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili. However, their impact did not live up to expectations. For Mamardashvili, this is understandable since he will join the squad next summer, but Chiesa failed to establish himself in the starting eleven.
With the arrival of Arne Slot, a new cycle is emerging. Significant departures could take place, including Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk, all out of contract at the end of the season. Currently, Mohamed Salah seems more inclined to leave than to extendin view of his recent statements. To replace it, Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on Algerian right winger Anis Hadj Moussa. The 22-year-old striker plays for Feyenoord and would be a potential target according to Football Insider.
A crack from France
Anis Hadj Moussa presents a rather atypical profile. Trained in France in Montfermeil, then at RC Lens, the Algerian never managed to establish himself as a professional in his native country. He then headed to Belgium to pursue his dream. It was in February 2024 that he reached the high level of football, joining the Netherlands with Vitesse. Everything happened very quickly for the winger, who a few months later joined one of the best teams in the country, Feyenoord.
This season, the Algerian international stood out for his performances in the championship, but especially in the Champions League, where he has already scored 3 goals and delivered 1 assist in 5 matches. Anis Hadj Moussa has quickly established himself as a pillar for Feyenoord, already totaling 6 goals and 2 assists in all competitions. His profile would appeal to Liverpool, who see him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. Under contract until 2029, he is valued at almost 12 million euros on Transfermarkt. With the season he is having, it is likely that its rating will increase.
