The long-awaited fight between Modou Lô and Balla Gaye 2 will not take place, at least not this year. According to The EchoesModou Lô decided to rest for the rest of the season, only resuming his “ngimb” next season. A decision that closely resembles a warrior’s rest.
As explained The Echoesthe Jamaican promoter was however very advanced in the organization of this duel. He would even have paid a “deposit” to Modou Lô’s manager, according to the words of Birahim Gning, interviewed by Bprod Media TV, in order to secure the wrestler while waiting to finalize negotiations with the agent of Balla Gaye 2.

According to The EchoesOumar Sow, Jamaican’s big brother, revealed that during the discussions, Aziz Ndiaye, manager of Balla Gaye 2, had demanded a whopping fee of 250 million FCFA. A surprising posture since the Balla Gaye 2 camp should, normally, be more eager for this fight with the crown of King of Arenas at stake.
The 250 million requested were logically considered exorbitant by the Jamaican, who, again according to his brother, proposed a counter-offer of 125 million FCFA. Aziz Ndiaye would have promised to give an answer after reflection. However, according to The Echoessince this proposal, the promoter has not received any news.
