Mamadou Sow was elected this Sunday president of the National Organization for the Management of Mass Activities (ONGAM) for a four-year term. This decision was taken during the organization’s General Assembly, held in Ziguinchor.

Originally from Fouladou, Mamadou Sow has established himself as a key figure in the management of popular sport and mass cultural activities. With a wealth of experience in organizing the popular national championship, he also made an impact with innovative initiatives that strengthened social cohesion and inclusion.

Innovations at the heart of its program

During this AGM, Mamadou Sow unveiled an ambitious vision for ONGAM, structured around several major axes:

  • Organization of multi-sport tournaments : These events aim to promote inclusion and complementarity between young people from different regions of the country.
  • Creation of sports clubs : A structuring project to encourage sports practice and strengthen the foundations of disciplines at the community level.
  • festivals : , dance and art will occupy a central place in his mandate, with festivals intended to promote the cultural and artistic diversity of Senegal.
  • Entrepreneurship training workshops : These training courses will offer young people practical tools to transform their passions into economic opportunities.

Unanimous support

These commitments convinced the members of the General Assembly, who see in Mamadou Sow a leader capable of transforming ONGAM into a dynamic platform, serving the communities. The man, described as visionary and pragmatic, received wide support, not only for his ideas, but also for his ability to unite around him.

Closing the event, the new president promised to work hand in hand with ONGAM members and partners to realize the ambitions of his program. “This mandate will be that of inclusion, youth and development. Together, we will make ONGAM a model serving the populations,” he declared.

With this election, Mamadou Sow opens a new page for ONGAM, in the hope of making a lasting mark on the Senegalese sporting and socio-cultural landscape.
