Antwerp and Laurit Krasniqi have terminated their contract by mutual agreement. Lacking playing time, the defender left the Great Old after eleven years at the club.

This is probably one of the busiest days of the year for Antwerp. First of all, it was revealed that Red Devil Olivier Deman would be making his return to the Jupiler Pro League at Bosuil.

Then the news came out regarding Jean Butez who, after much confusion, finally completed his transfer to Como, in Serie A.

But the club also announced another news: Laurit Krasniqi’s contract was terminated by mutual agreement. The Kosovo-born defender has been through all the age categories with Matricule 1 and made his first team debut in the summer of 2022. He had been at the club since 2013.

But now 23 years old, the left-back never really broke through at Antwerp, and mainly played for the Young Reds. He was also loaned to Roda, in the Netherlands. Free, he is now quoted at FK Panevėžys, in Lithuania.

One arrival and two departures. Antwerp, who won this Saturday 4-2 in a friendly match against Zwolle, with goals from Chery (x2), Janssen and Adekami, have already launched their winter transfer window well.
