Moroccan international defender Nesryne El Chad, midfielder for the women’s national team and French club , recently underwent successful surgery in Rabat due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee.

According to a reliable source cited by Hesport, the intervention was carried out at the nearby As-Safarat university hospital in Rabat, by Doctor Nicolas Gravellot, from the health and sport unit of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Technology. health.

The operation took place under the supervision of the medical director of the Royal Moroccan Federation, in collaboration with the medical and sports staff of the Lille club.

The Atlas Lioness benefited from the services of the health and sport unit, which operates within the framework of an agreement between the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health. The latter has established itself as a reference platform in sports medicine and surgery.

At the same time, Morocco is planning the opening of the first sports clinic accredited by FIFA near the Mohammed VI Football Complex, with an inauguration planned for the end of 2025.

El Chad will have to stay away from the field for around eight months, which means she will not be able to participate in the African Women’s Cup of Nations scheduled to take place in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025.
