Beerschot is preparing to challenge its neighbor and rival on Sunday, an important match for prestige but especially for the red lantern who will have to record points.
Kiel will host the lively Antwerp derby this Sunday, a home advantage which Beerschot hopes to take advantage of, as well as the fatigue of its opponent who will face the Union in the Belgian Cup tomorrow (read here).
The Rats, and especially their supporters, already have excellent news ahead of the match. Indeed, the club, in collaboration with the police, studied the possibility of also opening stand 2.
This would allow a greater number of supporters to attend the match in the stadium. The club thus received confirmation of the good news and the tickets were put on sale, after the very rapid sale of tickets for the other Kiel stands.
This will be the second derby of the season. The first ended in a 5-0 forfeit victory for Antwerp after the match was interrupted due to behavior on the part of the visiting fans.
Since these incidents, Beerschot has slightly straightened the curve after having recorded a few more points in the ranking, but the promoted team is still at the bottom.
