Alexis Flips moved from Anderlecht to Sporting Charleroi in September. Having not had any playing opportunities under Brian Riemer at Anderlecht, Flips was keen to prove himself on loan with the Carolos. So far, however, this transfer has proven to be a failure.
Flips has only had two starts and seven substitute appearances with Sporting Charleroi so far. During these meetings, the left-hander failed to score. However, Rik De Mil’s style of play seems to match his midfield profile. Despite this, Flips has failed to convince in Charleroi so far.
This also represents bad news for RSC Anderlecht, who had paid 3.5 million euros for Flips in the summer of 2023. According to the latest market values update, the winger is now valued at around 1, 8 million euros according to Transfermarkt. The question now is whether Flips will still be able to relaunch in Charleroi.
The 24-year-old midfielder and his original club Anderlecht will be hoping that 2025 brings better performances for the French player.
