David Savard left before the end of training

After spending yesterday away from the ice, Martin St-Louis’ men took to the ice in Chicago today. The goal? Preparing for tomorrow’s game against the Blackhawks.

What we must note, from the outset, is that according to Renaud Lavoie, defender David Savard left his team’s training.

We don’t know exactly what the reason is, but it’s logical to think that it’s not just because he needed to go to the little corner, if you know what I mean.

Logically, the two most likely reasons are: he was either traded or he got hurt.

As Savard sometimes has days off to undergo treatments, as he has not been healthy during all of CH’s matches this season and as the transaction market is slow, one might think that he is in pain somewhere.

Obviously, it’s still early to talk about that, but we have to wonder if he will be able to face the Hawks tomorrow night. This is a question that arises, in the circumstances.

If he can’t play, there’s Jayden Struble patiently waiting his turn.

We should also note that the Canadian announced that Samuel Montembeault will play against the Blackhawks tomorrow. And in my eyes, it’s still a surprise.

I thought it was a good time to give one to Jakub Dobes.

If Dobes is called to play Saturday, I wonder why the opposite was not done. And if Montembeault has to play on Saturday, so the two games back to back, I wonder what that means for the future.

Either way, I’m surprised right now. Dobes against Chicago, it was logical… but we can think that CH wants to test it. Or that the club really wants to win tomorrow?
