While the World Junior Championship is well underway, the preliminary round ended yesterday.
After a victory against Finland, a bitter shootout defeat against Latvia and an unconvincing performance in a victory against Germany, Canada lost by a score of 4 to 1 against the United States. United.
The ranking of the two groups is now known as the Canadian team ranked third in Group A with a record of 2-1-1 for 7 points in four games.
We now know the schedule for the quarter-final matches as well as the teams that will face each other.
First, Germany will face Kazakhstan in the relegation match.
Then, for the quarter-final matches, Sweden will face Latvia, the United States will face Switzerland, Finland will face Slovakia and finally, Canada will have to defeat the Czech Republic.
If it wins tomorrow, Canada will face the winner of the match between Finland and Slovakia in the semi-final.
