The Fédération Internationale de Association (FIFA) unveiled, Wednesday January 1, 2025, the list of Moroccan referees recognized by the governing body of world football as internationals. This list includes 25 referees, with two new entrants, namely, Mohamed Abouqal as futsal referee and Mohamed El Baroudi, as head referee. The latter reports to Redouane Jiyed, retired, and who has headed the National Arbitration Directorate within the FRMF since July 2024.

With 7 main referees, 10 assistants, 6 VAR referees, 4 futsal referees and 2 beach soccer referees, Morocco is seeing its contingent of international referees grow. Paradoxically, men and women in black are criticized from all sides in Botola.
