Last summer, Nathan Ngoy was on the verge of signing for Luton Town. Internal disagreements got the better of the transfer, but the club kept an eye on Belgian football.
Relegated to the Championship at the end of last season, Luton Town continued to look for a new central defender. Six months after the advanced flirtation with Nathan Ngoy, who in addition to the disillusionment of the failure of the transfer had the misfortune to get injured, the English club finally announced its new recruit last night.
While the football world was toasting and wishing each other the best for 2025, Luton and the RWDM formalized the transfer of Christ Makosso from Brussels to England.
A new step forward for Makosso
The 20-year-old Congolese will therefore have stayed at Stade Machtens for a short year, having arrived last winter from Sochaux for 100,000 euros. The RWDM announced that it was going for a “much higher” amount without giving a precise figure.
After a period of adaptation, Christ Makosso has established himself as an indisputable starter in the Molenbeek defense. This season, he has played practically everything in D1B.
Yannick Ferrera will have to succeed in replacing him to continue to seek promotion to D1A. The central hinge Sousa – Doudaev has already shown that she can do the job, even if a new defender could arrive this winter.
