CAN, CAN Women, CHAN, CAN U20… Senegal on all fronts in 2025

The year 2025 promises to be a busy year for the Senegalese selections. The Lions, Lionesses and Cubs of Teranga will be there everywhere on the continent. From the Morocco CAN 2025 to the CAN U15 via the Morocco Women’s CAN 2024, the men of Papa Bouba Diop’s country will be in the running, ready to conquer a trophy.

Even if they got off to a bad start to 2024, Senegal still has a positive annual report in a thousand respects. Eliminated in the round of 16 at the CAN Côte d’Ivoire 2023 last January, theSenegal national team quickly turned to the next edition. This is how Sadio Mané and his teammates managed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025. The Lions of Teranga, led by Aliou Cissé then by Pape Thiaw, finished leader of group L with 16 points on the clock, 5 wins and a draw.

For their part, the local team will be there to defend their crown. This Saturday, December 28, Souleymane Diallo’s men beat Liberia 3-0 in the return match at home. Title holderSenegal qualified for the 2024 African Nations Championship which will take place from February 1 to 28, 2025 in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

For their part, the U20 and U17 selections also lined up. The Lion Cubs of Teranga are the title holders at the CAN level for under-17s, but also for under-20s. Senegal will therefore go to defend its title at the CAN U20 2025 planned for April 26 to May 25, 2025 in Ivory Coast and CAN U17 2025 of March 30 to April 19, 2025. Even theSenegalese U15 team is qualified for the 2025 African U15 School Championship.
