Cameroon will not be there at CHAN 2025 which will be played against Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya, eliminated by the Central African Republic. Winners 1-0 in the first leg in Abidjan, the Indomitable Lions A’ were beaten 2-1 at home at the Stade de Kouekong, in Bafoussam.

Cameroon will not participate in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), after being eliminated by the Central African Republic in the final round of the qualifiers. Despite a 1-0 victory in the first leg in Abidjan, the Indomitable Lions A’ lost 1-2 at home, at the Kouekong sports stadium in Bafoussam. Striker Angel Yondjo opened the scoring for Cameroon in the 31st minute, but the Central African Republic equalized just before half-time thanks to a penalty converted by Jerede Ndokomanji. At the end of the match, Bertillon Arnold scored the decisive goal in the 87th minute, allowing the Fauves du Bas-Oubangui to qualify thanks to the rule of goals scored away. This qualification marks a historic first for the Central African Republic at CHAN, while Cameroon, which was aiming for a sixth consecutive participation, suffered an early elimination.
