L'Equipe unveiled its typical team for the first half of the Ligue 1 season this Wednesday, December 24, based on the notes delivered each weekend by its reporters.
In this eleven-type, the Atlas Lions Achraf Hakimi and Eliesse Ben Seghir are designated best in their positions having benefited from significant marks.
“On the right side, Achraf Hakimi (6.07), hardworking and generous offensively, unsurprisingly joins this team. The PSG right-back almost has the statistics of a winger: already 2 goals and 5 assists in 14 matches!”, underlines the French media.
Regarding the young 19-year-old Moroccan attacking midfielder, L'Equipe indicates: “the wings are occupied by the Parisian Ousmane Dembélé (6.4) on the right and the Monegasque Eliesse Ben Seghir (6.14) on the left. The first, with 8 goals and 4 assists, made significant progress in the opponent's last 30 meters, as evidenced by his double in Monaco (4-2) on December 18. The second is doing well with his 5 achievements and 3 offerings.
So the two Moroccan internationals, also pillars of the national team, are ending the year 2024 on good notes. Major elements of their respective clubs, Hakimi and Ben Seghir will face each other on January 5, 2025 in Doha (Qatar) during the Champions Trophy between PSG and AS Monaco.
