The Club had paid nearly 3 million for him: a former…of the two Bruges teams hangs up his boots at 32 – All football

Mushaga Bakenga says stop playing football. He was active in India.

On his Instagram account, Mushaga Bakenga made the end of his professional career official. Active in the Indian club FC Punjab, the Norwegian striker closes a long chapter, 18 years after signing his first professional contract, when he was only 14 years old.

His 12 goals in 26 games with Rosenborg earned him a 2.60 million transfer to Club de Bruges in January 2012. But he did not impose himself there, enough to convince the leaders to lend him to the Circle.

Arrival at the Club, the transfer which guided the rest of his career

Despite the progress seen at the rival and his first appearance for the national team, Bakenga never received his chance again at the Blauw en Zwart, who loaned him to Esbjerg, Eintracht Braunschweig and twice to Molde.

In 2016, more than four years after his transfer to Jan Breydelstadion, he returned to Rosenborg. But the peak of his career was already behind him. The native of Trondheim passed through several Norwegian clubs, before freelancing in Japan, Cyprus, then this latest Indian adventure.

Mushaga Bakenga says he is grateful to football for all the friends he has met but also impatient to start a normal life, without the two tests per week to measure his body fat, nor the cocoon reserved for the professional player which facilitated all his daily actions.
