Gap – Marseille 4-3 (t.a.b.)
Four days after a crucial victory in the Hautes-Alpes derby, the Raptors were back at it again with the reception of the Marseille Spartans. A Marseille team, which the Gapençais had already beaten twice since September. However, Marseille proved to be a calibrated rival, as evidenced by the fifth place in the ranking of Colotti’s partners. If the first third was balanced, Karjalainen had to pull out all the stops to repel a breakaway from Dair. It was the main opportunity in a rhythmic but closed first period.
As soon as they returned to the ice, the Raptors put their pressure on: Langlais was going to scrape the puck in the corner, Mickevics could pass it to Bouvet, who did not miss the chance to adjust the Spartans’ net. It was time for Gap to capitalize on their advantage on the power play, but instead it was the league’s top scorer Dufek who infiltrated the blue line to erase Karjalainen (1-1). Marseille had no time to doubt but had to master a new inferiority. The Raptors could not find the opening. As soon as the game returned to equal numbers, young defender Léo Faure grabbed the puck, went around Steen’s net and gave the Alpins the advantage again. The Raptors stepped on the accelerator: Correia flew towards the cage and served behind him, Gutierrez who scored….The two teams went shot for shot and Stolyarov, forgotten at the far post, pushed the puck into the goal of the Raptors.
Gap could start the last act with a credit unit, but in inferiority for more than four minutes. The Spartans stumbled against the Raptors’ defense and it was a fierce fight which heralded the final minutes. In turn Sergienko for Marseille, then Colombin at Gap, had the goal in the palette, but the goalkeepers were watching. But ultimately it was in the last minute that a sweeping shot from Bjorkung forced the two teams to go into overtime, where nothing was scored…The Gapençais twice deceived Steen through Horvath and Hallbauer, while Antti Karjalainen repelled all Marseille shots. Gap continues his convalescence.

Chamonix – Angers 3-4 (a.p.)
The Pioneers came very close to what could be considered an achievement given their last performances, but lost in overtime, after having cast doubt on an Angevin team which had nevertheless dominated the game.
It was Thompson who opened the scoring for the Haut-Savoyards with a huge shot from the blue into the top corner, but Angers immediately reacted through Halley, a minute later, before taking the advantage through the inevitable Braden Shaw in the same minute. The domination of the Dukes was obvious, and Tom Aubrun in front of the Chamonix net, pulled out all the stops to keep his team in the game.
A few seconds before the siren, Carnaback, perfectly launched by Masson, went alone to beat O’Connors for the equalizer. Cap gave Angers the advantage after six minutes of play in the second half and the momentum was clearly Angers, despite some great Chamonix incursions and chances, notably by Izacky.
Chamonix canceled three successive numerical superiorities of the Angevins with an intractable box-play and a goalkeeper as impressive as ever, and while they were playing in inferiority, the Pioneers equalized again, and once again by Carnback, always launched by Masson, who deceived O’Connors from the backhand.
The Angevins were starting to doubt and Chamonix created some great opportunities at the end of the match, but everything was decided in overtime, with a goal from Onno. Chamonix came very close to overcoming the Dukes, nevertheless largely dominant with 45 shots against 20, at the same time showing a much better image to its supporters. Captain Masson’s reaction:

Rouen – Grenoble 3-5
Very good move from the Brûleurs de loups, who won against the reigning French champion. The decision was made at the end of the match, where Binner then Beauchemin crucified the Dragons.
The Grenoblois remain firmly clinging to first place in the Ligue Magnus.
