In an interview given to Sky Sport, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of PSG, denies any interest in Mohamed Salah, at the end of his contract with Liverpool.

A categorical denial. Speaking to Sky Sport on Tuesday, December 3, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi commented on press reports which suggest discussions between Saint-Germain and Mohamed Salah.

“This rumor is false”

“It’s not true,” denies the Qatari president of PSG. “He's a fantastic and extraordinary player, but we never thought about him, to be honest. We know every club would love to have him, but this rumor about us is simply false,” added -he.

The 32-year-old Egyptian winger, who shines with Liverpool (13 goals, 11 assists), is at the end of his contract. If his situation does not change, he will be free to join another club from January 1 for next season.

“It's almost December and I haven't received any offers to stay at the club yet. I'm probably closer to leaving than staying,” Mohamed Salah said recently. “I'm going to enjoy every second here and if we just win the championship, we'll see what happens,” he also said recently.

PSG attentive to “opportunities” for this winter

Furthermore, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi was also questioned about PSG's plans for the winter transfer window. “If an opportunity presents itself, we will of course explore it,” he replies.

At the microphone of RMC, at the end of November, the Qatari leader declared on this subject: “I don't know what will happen if there are opportunities. We speak with the coach. But today, no. We have confidence in our players. We are in no hurry.”
