A very young Le Havre supporter was sanctioned for throwing cups and balls of paper from a stand at the Stade Océane.
We don't mess around with discipline at HAC, whatever your age! A 6-year-old child was banned from the stadium for a few weeks after being identified as a troublemaker – via the throwing of various projectiles – during the
championship match between Le Havre and Reims, at the beginning of November.
According to L’Equipe, “ the projectiles in question were none other than empty cardboard cups and balls of paper, probably sent in the direction of a friend of the aforementioned child. They landed at the edge of the field, beyond the advertising boards but not on the playing area, and did not hit anyone. […] Still, this fact was included in the delegate's report. The use of video surveillance tapes then made it possible to identify the minor. »
A symbolic and educational measure
The child's parents were therefore summoned by the club, which notified them ” a commercial stadium ban for a few months », for the little one as well as for his companion of the day, who had bought the entrance tickets. In addition to the L1 match against Angers, played this weekend, the apprentice supporter will not be able to join the Stade Océane for the upcoming receptions in Strasbourg and Lens.
« It's a bit sad but we are obliged to act on these subjects and in the face of exacerbated behavior. We must raise awareness among those accompanying us and show that the stadium must remain a place of celebration, and not a place to let off steam. », Explains within the Norman club to justify this altogether symbolic sanction.
