Algeria Foot – Olympique de Marseille has decided to place Morocco midfielder Azzedine Ounahi on the transfer market. Arriving at the Marseille club in January 2023, Ounahi has failed to establish himself as an undisputed starter in the Marseille squad.

Despite a promising start and notable performances, the 24-year-old is struggling to find his place in the coach’s plans. OM’s management is hoping to find a solution that can benefit both the player and the club. By putting Ounahi on the transfer market, Marseille is not only looking to balance its books, but also to open up opportunities for new recruits during the summer transfer window.

The Morocco national team player, known for his vision and technique, could attract the interest of several clubs in Europe and elsewhere. His performances at the 2022 World Cup, where he distinguished himself with the Moroccan national team, earned him international recognition that could facilitate his transfer.

OM’s decision to part ways with Ounahi shows the club’s desire to reorganize its squad ahead of next season, in order to position itself more competitively in Ligue 1 and on the European stage. It remains to be seen where Azzedine Ounahi will continue his career and whether a club will be willing to seize this opportunity.
