Promise David is the new striker of Union Saint-Gilloise. He will try to confirm in the Pro League his incredible statistics from the Estonian championship.

It’s the day of offensive reinforcements at Union Saint-Gilloise: a few hours after the arrival of Mohammed Fuseini, another centre forward arrives at the Stade Joseph Marien.

This is Promise David, a 22-year-old Canadian striker of Nigerian origin, who played for Estonian club FC Kalju. While it may not be the sexiest European league, his Premium Liiga stats are worth a look.

Promise David, new serial scorer for the Union?

Arriving in the Estonian championship in March 2023 (the competition starts at that time to avoid the harshness of winter), David started with the youth team, scoring 22 goals in 19 games, enough to open the doors to the first team and score six goals.

This season, he has more than confirmed, with again 23 goals scored in 21 games. The Union jumped at the chance, signing him to a contract until 2027, with an additional year as an option.

Between its formation in Canada and its explosion in Estonia, Promise David has already traveled quite a bit, passing through Croatia, the United States and Malta.
