The Bordeaux coach is disappointed not to have been able to snatch victory in the second half.
“May Saint-Malo not make too many missteps”
Bruno Irlès after the meeting on Ouest-France and L’Équipe: “Tonight we are frustrated, but frustrated also means happy. Because, from my point of view, we deserved better. We intend to keep this rhythm and this desire. May Saint-Malo not make too many missteps.”
He also noted that “Faced with the best in this Championship, its players rose to the occasion with their weapons of the moment and came back to score.“
Bordeaux remains 8 points behind Saint-Malo in the standings, but benefits from a late match to reduce the gap. The latter will be played on January 4 against Locminé at Matmut Atlantique.
The Girondins are provisionally 3rd in the classification of group B of National 2.
The next one for the Girondins is Sunday December 1st against Herbiers for the 8th round of the Coupe de France in Talence.
