The conditions were ideal this Saturday, June 29, 2024, for the sixth Ironman 70.3 Les Sables-d’Olonne Vendée.

A few days beforehand, there were already whispers that with a favourable tide, the records of previous editions could fall.

The most of 80 professional triathletes at the start of the Embankment they simply blew them apart.

The German Nicolas Mann wins the racein 3 hours 39 minutes and 48 seconds. And takes almost two minutes to the record of the Frenchman Pierre Le Corre (3h41’05).

He is ahead of the Dutchman Youri Keuleun by 35 seconds. Frenchman Clément Mignon takes third place on the podium.

Charlène Clavel 4th

In women, it is young prodigy Laura Madsena 21-year-old Danish woman, who finished first.

She completed the Les Sables stage in 4 h 05’51, and also sets a new record.
