Designated ambassador of the Der/fj: Sadio Mané cited as an example for young people who aspire to entrepreneurship

Senegalese football international Sadio Mané has been appointed ambassador of the Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship for Women and Youth (Der/Fj). The signing ceremony of the partnership agreement took place yesterday, Friday June 28, at the headquarters of the Der. The new “ambassador”’s mission is to make the actions of the Der visible, to remobilize resources and to support and motivate the beneficiaries. According to Der, Sadio Mané meets the cardinal values which are required for anyone who would like to benefit from support. “The ambassador of the Der can only be in line with the objectives of the Der. I can speak on behalf of Senegalese women but I cannot do so on behalf of young people. To promote the social inclusion of young people, we needed a good young leader, a good model capable of projecting his image onto young people. This is why we chose our ambassador Sadio Mané. We want all young Senegalese who aspire to entrepreneurship to be inspired and drink in the humility of Sadio Mané,” said the general delegate to Der Aida Mbodj. According to her, the football star is today the champion of Senegal and its national heritage. Furthermore, Aida Mbodj took advantage of this ceremony to invite the former general delegate of Der Papa Amadou Sarr who was present at the meeting to come and work with the new regime. “You are the cause of everything that is happening here. Personally I am grateful to you. You have invested in our country. Today, you have other missions to fulfill elsewhere. You have the merit of having created this essential tool which is in line with what we have today as a reference policy with the new authorities. We must always continue to connect with donors because you are working for the development of the country,” she told Papa Amadou Sarr.
