An unusual difference in cards. During the first round, Céline Boutier and Yuka Saso, very close friends in life, scored a 74, one of the worst scores of the day in this doubles tournament. During the second, this Major winning pair (Amundi Evian Championship 2023 for the Frenchwoman, US Open 2021 and 2024 for the Japanese) signed a 58 (27 on the first leg), a gap of 16 shots in two days.

Granted, the second round was played in four balls and not in foursome (one ball for both players) but the duo still managed a whopping 12 birdies (including 6 to start the day) without making a single mistake. No other team played under 60 and no duo had done as well at the Dow Championship since 2019.

Céline Boutier and Yuka Saso (-8) are four shots behind the pairs which currently dominate: Ewing-Kupcho, Hsu-Cheng, Wannasaen-Boonchant, Madsen-Broch Estrup, Auston and Grace Kim. The latter, Australian while her compatriot of the same name is American, scored a hole in one at 7 (145 m, Iron 7). Three other French women were committed to Michigan. Associated with the Thai Jasmine Suwannapura, Perrine Delacour made the cut (68, 64) and finds herself level with Boutier-Saso (22nd).

On the other hand, it is over for Agathe Laisné (associated with the American Sophia Schubert) and for Céline Herbin (associated with the Swiss Morgane Métraux). The two Tricolores leave the Dow Championship on the same final map (-3).
