The installation of more than 31 giant steel pillars, key elements of the future roof of the Grand Stade de Tangier, was recently finalized thanks to impressive cranes. This work marks a major step in the stadium modernization project.
According to reliable sources, these pillars, imported from abroad, represent 90% of the planned installations, with a total of 31 structures already fixed out of the 42 planned. The remaining 11 pillars will be installed in the coming days, setting the stage for the start of roof construction.
The new metal structures necessary for this roof will arrive in the coming days to begin the first installation phase. This stage will be preceded by a temporary cessation of work, allowing engineers and experts to finalize the work in progress in the stands.

At the same time, finishing touches are progressing in the VIP areas, with the construction of 40 boxes equipped with all the necessary comfort to accommodate the most demanding spectators. These spaces, located at the top of the stands, will offer a high-end experience.
Outside the stadium, the developments are also taking shape. Part of the land surrounding the enclosure was cleared, with the felling of trees making way for a new design. The ground is being prepared to accommodate large white and black marble slabs, while green areas, with fountains, trees and giant planters, will beautify the surroundings.
As for the lawn, it will be subject to careful preparation by experts before the installation of natural grass in the coming months. This work will take place after the complete installation of the roof and the construction of four passages leading directly to the land.
