Daniel Miljanovic has played in Sweden, Bosnia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Slovenia. The 23-year-old highlights the transferable qualities that footballers possess when entering the corporate world and how the Business and Innovation course can harness and develop these existing characteristics.
“As a footballer, I learned the importance of teamwork, discipline and loyalty, skills that are valuable in both sport and business. Of course, my football career won’t last forever and I want to have something that motivates me as much as football,” says Miljanovic, the Spain-born Swedish youth international.
“That’s why I chose this program, so that I can have a successful second career once I leave the sports field. I look forward to learning how to combine creativity and strategic thinking to get things done, and I’m particularly motivated to delve into areas such as entrepreneurship, leadership, and business development.
“My goal is not only to learn new skills, but also to create opportunities for myself and others in the future. I believe the knowledge and network of contacts I will gain here will be key to achieving this and, when I have finished, I hope to have a clear direction and the confidence to take on new challenges in the business world .
“This program gives me the opportunity to write the next chapter of my life. I am delighted to participate in this entrepreneurship and innovation program in partnership with FIFPRO and can’t wait to see where it takes me.”
