After the announcement of Iron Lynx which is switching to Mercedes-AMG for the next WEC season, it is now Iron Dames which formalizes its crew for the World Endurance Championship. The girls will not drive a Mercedes but a Porsche 911 GT3 R in partnership with Manthey Racing, which will operate the one aligned with the banner Manthey 1st Phorm. This is nothing new for Iron Dames who are coming off a European Le Mans Series season in Porsche, this time with Proton Competition.
Having passed Silver in 2025, Sarah Bovy will not be at the wheel of the No. 85 911 GT3 R since the crew will bring together Rahel Frey (Silver), Célia Martin (Bronze) and Michelle Gatting (Gold).
So far, the Iron Dames have contested 27 WEC races, the last eight in a Lamborghini Huracan GT3.
“We are proud to join forces with the Iron Dames in the WEC next yeardeclared Nicolas Raeder, general director of Manthey Racing. We have always admired the project and have had many exciting but fair duels on the track with them in the past. We are convinced that this is a great opportunity to develop together and reach a new level thanks to our experience in endurance racing and the tireless efforts of the Iron Dames. We look forward to the 2025 season and the possibility of bringing a Porsche in pink to the starting grid. »
