The Jordanian football selection, now under the leadership of Moroccan coach Jamal Sellami, was placed in group B of the 3rd and final round of the Asian qualifying qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, following the draw carried out Thursday in Kuala Lumpur.

This group also includes South Korea, Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, Palestine and Kuwait.

At the end of this decisive third round, the matches of which will take place from September 2, 2024 to June 10, 2025, the first two in each group will qualify directly for the final stages of the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Mexico. Canada.

The best third and fourth teams will then be divided into two groups of three and will compete against each other from October 2025. The winner of each group will advance to the World Cup, while the two runners-up will participate in a FIFA play-off tournament, with one more place at stake.
