F1 driver Charles Leclerc will sell an unexpected product at Monoprix starting this summer

F1 driver Charles Leclerc is tackling an unusual field, far from the automotive world. The 26-year-old champion will launch a new range of ice creams in Monoprix stores in France from July 2024, indicates BFMTV Wednesday June 26, 2024. It will be marketed under the name “LEC” in reference to its name. It was born from a collaboration with the founders of the famous Italian ice cream chain Grom and the pilot’s manager, Nicolas Todt.

The 460 ml pots of ice cream will be sold at a price of €5.90, a representative of the brand announced to our colleagues. Customers will be able to preview the product in all branches in France on July 6. The range will be made up of four flavors: pistachio, vanilla, chocolate or peanut butter. In the ingredient lists, we find stevia, erythritol and emulsifiers, milk protein. A composition which should make it possible to reduce the number of calories.

Low-calorie ice cream

Indeed, to stand out from its many competitors, “LEC” ice creams will be low-calorie. Clearly, each 460 ml jar cannot exceed 399 calories. “Each recipe has at least 30% fewer calories than the average of the most popular packaged ice creams on the market.”assured the manufacturer BFMTV.

Charles Leclerc is not the only one to launch a new product on the market. Ferrero has been marketing a pot of Nutella flavored ice cream since the beginning of June 2024. This summer, the French will have a wide choice in the ice cream section and that’s good because they love it. In 2023, they spent 1.53 billion euros buying this type of dessert.
