It’s a decisive week that opens in front of Gonçalo Ramos, while PSG will finally be at full strength in the middle of the week. Injured on August 16 in Le Havre during the first day of Ligue 1, the Portuguese striker has since undergone ankle surgery. He returned for an individual session on November 1 on the Poissy grounds, where the club’s Campus is located, but has not yet participated in a collective session.
This could, or should, be the case this Wednesday with the return of all PSG players who left for their selections during the international break – League of Nations, World Cup or CAN qualifiers. This is in any case what is planned for this Wednesday, November 20 for the 5 p.m. training.
Luis Enrique’s team has two immediate meetings with the reception of Toulouse this Friday on behalf of the 12th day of the championship, before traveling to Munich to face Bayern of Dayot Upamecano, Michael Olise or Kingsley Coman on Tuesday November 26. A Champions League meeting, a competition in which Paris languishes with four points in four games.
Internally, the trend is now pessimistic regarding Gonçalo Ramos in the perspective of this hot meeting. Certainly, he has not experienced any particular setbacks since his return to training, but he still seems too tight to be included in the group for the trip to Bavaria. Even if, once again, his situation may change favorably with the group sessions scheduled for this week.
A return planned for December?
Four weeks ago, the capital club hoped for a return to the group against Toulouse and possibly a few minutes at the Allianz Arena depending on how they felt. Last week, during international matches, he joined the club’s Espoirs group alongside Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Hernandez, two more long-term injured players.
Unlike the Portuguese trigger, the two Frenchmen were able to participate in light opposition, where the other players were instructed to avoid contact with them. The “optimistic” plan, with the striker returning to the group for Toulouse and/or Munich, now seems obsolete.
A return to competition now seems more plausible in December – four meetings on the program with two outings in Ligue 1, at Auxerre and against Lyon, a trip to Salzburg in the Champions League and a 32nd final of the Coupe de France on the 21st or December 22, final release in 2024 before the Christmas holidays. He is now expected to start or come off the bench in one of these four matches, after several collective sessions.
