LDuring this ninth day of Fédérale 3, Hagetmau and Avenir Aturin will try to keep their place at the top of the table in group 10 while Biscarrosse, ACLR and Capbreton-Hossegor will try to continue their good momentum after complicated start to the championship in group 11.
1 Ambitions in pool 10
In pool 10, the two Landes clubs, Aire-sur-l’Adour and Hagetmau, are hot on their heels in third and fourth place, with only one point difference between the two teams (20 and 19 points respectively). Indeed, last weekend, the Aturins won the Landes derby by winning against their Chalois neighbors (41-28) at the end of a disputed and long undecided meeting, since the two teams were tied at the break (21-21).
Returning to victory after a series of three defeats, Aire-sur-l’Adour will have to confirm during its trip to Bizanos (5th). A match that promises to be complicated, against a direct competitor undefeated at home. Hagetmau’s move to leader Gan doesn’t look easy either. Captain Tellechea’s men continue to alternate victories and defeats. And there is hope if they maintain this pace! But this Sunday they will face a formidable opponent with a dynamic of four victories in a row, who has yet to experience any defeat this season, since they conceded two draws against Ossau and Orthez.
2 Complications in pool 11
The three Landes teams in Pool 11 are in a less comfortable situation in the lower part of the table, where nothing is decided and where all the matches are fiercely contested. Indeed, if the break is made by the five leading clubs, the other five are within a pocket of barely five points. After five defeats in a row, Biscarrosse moved back to sixth place (with a game late) thanks to two consecutive victories against Côte Landes Rugby (31-27) and Bayonne (19-20). The BO, which has recovered some elements, must absolutely continue its momentum when receiving Cambo (9th) in a bad spiral of five setbacks.
Ex-aequo sixth, the ACLR, if it wants to remain so, must also take advantage of the home advantage against Bayonne, the red lantern against whom everyone has won. Handicapped by a very full infirmary, the Côte Landais made a good start to the match but struggled to manage the end, even conceding three tries in the last quarter of an hour against Saint-Palais last weekend (defeat 35 -25). A victory is therefore crucial for them.
The upcoming game promises to be more complicated for Capbreton-Hossegor (8th with a match pending). The Maritimes, who are discovering the Fédérale 3 with a greatly overhauled team, nevertheless do not give up and, even if they only defeated Bayonne in the last minute of play (9-6), it is a victory that should not be missed. But the reception of the beautiful formation of Bardos (4th), who needs points to stay in the leading pack, will be a different story this Sunday!
