Like every year, the UNFP allows players without a club to return to group life, to carry out summer preparation and to show themselves, with the prospect of finding a club for next season via the UNFP FC.
The National Union of Professional Footballers has just revealed its team’s summer program, as the group resumed on Monday. Seven matches are scheduled for the 24 players who will begin this adventure. Like every year, the group will evolve as the players’ situation evolves.
Damien Ott will be at the head of this team, accompanied by Jean-Jacques Pierre (assistant coach)Olivier Guillier (fitness trainer) and André Biancarelli, former ASSE goalkeeper coach who will occupy this same function within UNFP FC. From July 10, Damien Ott’s players will begin a campaign of friendly matches with Orléans, then Troyes, on the program. We find some well-known names in this list of 24 players like Nicolas Benezet, Jonathan Kodjia or Vincent Koziello that Bernard Caïazzo had spotted from a very young age, as he explained in October 2015: “One day, I went to see the under-19s in Cannes.
