Before Brazil’s entry into the Copa America, on the night of Monday to Tuesday, against Costa Rica (0-0), Neymar stopped on the side of the road to buy Seleçao jerseys.

A buyer like no other. Still convalescing, after his rupture of the cruciate ligaments of the knee last October, and withdrawal from the competition, Neymar was present, on the night of Monday to Tuesday, in the aisles of the SoFi Stadium to witness Brazil’s entry into contention at the Copa America against Costa Rica (0-0). But before going to the stadium, the Brazilian did some shopping on the streets of Los Angeles.

Stopped at a traffic light, the former PSG player asked for a Brazil jersey from a street vendor who had a stand on the sidewalk. “I want a Brazil jersey please,” he said in English through the window of the vehicle towards the man before the latter asked for the size without recognizing the footballer. The seller then rushed to bring him the jersey and that’s when he realized it was Neymar.

While the player from the Saudi club Al-Hilal then asked him for another copy, two other men ran towards the Brazilian to take photos and immortalize the moment. He then returned to watch the Brazilian team meet with his friend and NBA star Jimmy Butler.

On one of his stories posted on his Instagram account, Neymar also offers a Seleçao jersey printed with his name to the Miami Heat player. It remains to be seen whether it is one of the tunics purchased on the side of the road a few hours earlier…
