Genève-Servette is pleased to announce the signing of Swiss defender Dave Sutter for the next three seasons. Trained at the Club, the 32-year-old returned to the Vernets, twelve years after leaving them. The agreement with the Club runs until the end of the 2027-2028 financial year.

The Eagles defense will gain muscle next season! Dave Sutter has signed a three-year contract, until the end of the 2027-2028 season. Renowned for his defensive and physical play, the 32-year-old returns to the Club that saw him turn professional 12 years ago. Indeed, Dave Sutter arrived at the AGFH at 15 years old in 2007! Quickly summoned to the junior national teams from U16 to U20, the defender is making a name for himself. In 2010, he decided to cross the Atlantic and enter the OHL junior championship to gain visibility.

Dave Sutter returned to Switzerland and Genève-Servette in 2012 with whom he began his professional career. But it was especially in the Swiss League with Martigny and La Chaux-de-Fonds that he became more experienced. In 2015, he signed with HC Bienne in the National League before joining the ZSC Lions with whom he won a title in 2018. Since 2020, he has been skating under the colors of Fribourg-Gottéron and from next season, he will find the end of the Lake. In total, Dave Sutter has 461 matches in the National League for 99 points (15 goals and 64 assists) but also 15 international matches with the Swiss team in preparation tournaments between 2016 and 2022.
