IMSA testing began at Daytona International Speedway. Lamborghini Iron Lynx put the SC63 driven by Andrea Caldarelli at the top of the timesheets with a best time of 1:35.930.

The two BMW M Hybrid V8 / BMW M Team RLL of Philipp Eng and Max Hesse finished in the top three, #24 at 95 thousandths and #25 at 324 thousandths. Gianmaria Bruni (Porsche 963/JDC Miller MotorSports) and Ricky Taylor (Cadillac V-Series.R/WTR) complete the top 5.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie entered by Aston Martin THOR Team completed its first kilometers against the competition. Roman De Angelis completed 23 laps, the fastest at 2.893s from the reference time. Eight laps covered for Alex Riberas, as did Felipe Drugovich in the Cadillac/Action Express Racing.

In accordance with what Endurance-Info revealed to you earlier in the afternoon, Pascal Wehrlein is indeed registered on the Porsche 963/JDC without having taken the wheel. Oliver Gray is also entered on the Porsche 963.

For its return to the Acura ARX-06, Meyer Shank Racing took 7th time thanks to Renger van der Zande.

United Autosports moved ahead of the competition in LMP2, with Paul Di Resta ahead of Ben Hanley. At TDS Racing, Hunter McElrea was the fastest, taking 5th time.

Only the GTP and LMP2 prototypes took to the track in this morning session.
