Barely 18 months after his arrival in Marseille from Braga for the tidy sum of 25 million euros – plus five to seven million in presumed bonuses – i.e. the biggest transfer in the history of the Marseille club, the Portuguese striker will officially leave Ciel et Blanc to join Genoa.
Loaned last winter to the Genoese team, with a purchase option then set at 25 million euros, the person concerned did not really shine there – credited with nine appearances for two goals scored – but the Italian leaders have were nevertheless seduced by his fighter profile and his determination.
A relief for all?

Faris Moumbagna should a priori stay, but uncertainty remains over the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Phocéens’ best offensive asset, credited with 30 goals in 51 outings this season.
