The accident occurred “on the non-road part of this area”, specified the public prosecutor Philippe Astruc, confirming information from West France. “The driver, born in January 2006, was interviewed as well as the passenger,” added the prosecutor.

The alcohol and narcotics tests “revealed negative,” said the magistrate, adding that an investigation into manslaughter had been opened. The driver, aged 18, and the passenger of the scooter, are young footballers from the Stade Rennais training center, according to the regional daily.
