The derby is on. More than two and a half years after the last confrontation, lost by ASSE at Groupama Stadium in January 2022 (1-0), the Greens will meet OL this Sunday evening, at Décines (8:45 p.m.).
If Greens supporters will not be able to go to Lyon, there were more than 2,900 this Saturday morning, after the call to rally made by groups of supporters, to give their voice during the final training.

Olivier Dall'Oglio's men trained for an hour, collectively then in small groups, obviously masking any tactical precepts. Before going to see the supporters at the end of training, lined up in front of the banner “Take it off and smash them”, then hung on the walls of the training center.

Monnet-Paquet in the crowd
Training which took place under the eyes of Kévin Monnet-Paquet, formerly of the Saint-Etienne club (2014-2021) and scorer against OL in February 2017 (2-0), who blended in with the crowd of 2,900 supporters at L’Étrat. The other scorer in the February 2017 derby, Romain Hamouma, was on the pitch and giving advice to the offensive players.
The ASSE attackers' coach will have to entrust the magic recipe to allow the Stéphanois to find the net at Groupama Stadium, they who have scored only one goal in the last four trips to Lyon. It's up to the Greens to find the ingredients to thwart the predictions this Sunday evening.
