Europe begins in Scotland

Twenty U19 players were selected by Jean-Luc Vannuchi for the Euro 2025 qualifying round from November 13 to 19 in Scotland.

The time to enter the European campaign has come for the French U19s. They will be engaged in the qualifying round for Euro 2025 in their category from November 13 to 19, with opponents in Group 5 being Scotland, Liechtenstein and Wales. The matches will be played on Scottish soil.

This qualifying round is the first stage of an eliminatory course which should lead them to the Elite round next spring then to the final phase organized in Romania from June 13 to 26, 2025. The Bleuets will have to take one of the first two places in this group 5 (or be the best third in all groups) to access the Elite round.

National coach Jean-Luc Vannuchi called on twenty players for this meeting in Scotland. The group will be assembled on Sunday November 10 and will return to Glasgow the following day.

– Saturday November 16, 2024:

  • 16:00: Scotland-Liechtenstein (Greenock, Cappielow Park)
  • 20h30 : France-Wales (Stirling, Forthbank Stadium)

– Tuesday November 19, 2024:

  • 8:30 p.m.: Scotland-France (Stirling, Forthbank Stadium)
  • 20h30 : Liechtenstein-Pays de Galles (Greenock, Cappielow Park)

The top two teams from each of the thirteen qualifying round groups and the best third-place finisher will advance to the Spring Elite Round. The seven group winners from the Elite round will qualify for the final tournament in Romania.
