Between Sadio Mané and the social sector, it’s a true love story. Sadio Mané, who is the first player to win the Socrates prize, for his investment in the development of his native village of Bambali, in southern Senegal, where he notably encouraged equal access for boys and girls to playing Football, is now a volunteer at the King Salman humanitarian aid center, where he became the first foreign international player to agree to this role.
This center, based in Saudi Arabia, is involved in various projects to support populations in difficulty, whether in response to humanitarian crises, natural disasters or development needs.
Mané’s involvement in such initiatives highlights the importance of athletes’ engagement in social causes. By using his fame to raise awareness and support these efforts, he inspires others to get involved and contribute to positive change in the world.
