Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes is still reportedly looking for a forward capable of playing in the top two lines.

He would even be ready to make a “Kirby Dach” or “Alex Newhook” trade as the draft approaches, according to what informant Pierre LeBrun from the site reports. The Athletic.
According to LeBrun, Hughes contacted the Carolina Hurricanes for additional information about Czech forward Martin Necas. He points out, however, that about half of the teams in the National Hockey League (NHL) have made the same type of call in Carolina.
