Red Devils: here are the 4 players who are guaranteed not to play against Montenegro

Domenico Tedesco answered questions from journalists this Tuesday, on the eve of the Red Devils’ first friendly match before Euro 2024. He gave the names of four players who will not be able to play this Wednesday.

The Red Devils will play two friendly matches in Belgium before leaving for Germany and Euro 2024. The first of them will take place this Wednesday, at the King Baudouin stadium, against Montenegro.

At a press conference, Domenico Tedesco was asked about the players he will field for this match and if he was not very talkative about the starters, he did however give the names of four players who are guaranteed not to not compete in the match.

Unsurprisingly, Jan Vertonghen and Arthur Theate will not be present at kick-off. The two left defenders have not yet trained with the rest of the group since the start of the rally and are both recovering from injuries.

Added to these two absences are the unavailability of Tielemans and Vranckx. The first city did not warm up with the rest of the group this Tuesday morning. In the case of the Wolfsburg player, Domenico Tedesco specifies “that he could play” but that he and his staff prefer not to “take any risks”.

Enough to explain the choice of Mandela Keita and Arne Engels as “challengers” during this preparation.
