Venice returns to Serie A

The third and final ticket to the elite went to Venice who beat Cremonese 1-0 in the second leg of the promotion play-off final after drawing 0-0 in the first leg. Venice will play its 14th season in Serie A in 2024-25, the first since 2021-22, where it made the elevator by returning directly to Serie B.

Leganes and Valladolid move up to La Liga

Leganes, demoted to the 2nd Spanish division in 2020, will return to La Liga next season after its 2-0 victory against Elche which gives it the title in Liga 2. The club from the suburbs of Madrid moves up alongside Real Valladolid, 2nd in the season despite losing 2-1 to Tenerife. Espanyol, Sporting Gijon and Real Oviedo will compete in play-offs for the 3rd and final ticket to the elite.
