Invited this Monday morning on RMC, the president of the “Bleus et Fiers” association and Parisian subscriber, Jean-Baptiste Montarnier, returned to his sad evening experienced Saturday evening at the Parc des Princes during PSG-, where many chants homophobes were heard. The man was even the direct target of insults, and decided to file a complaint.

Leader of Ligue 1, PSG is nevertheless in turmoil this Monday after strong homophobic chants were heard on Saturday evening at the Parc des Princes during the success against Strasbourg (4-2).

Present in the stands, Jean-Baptiste Montarnier, president of the “Bleus et Fiers” association – the association of LGBT + supporters of the Blues – returned this Monday on RMC to these incidents.

“I was told: ‘You don’t have your place in the stadium if you’re homosexual’”

“From the 80th minute until the end of the match, there was a good quarter of an hour of homophobic chants, echoed by everyone,” he explains. “I always try to communicate with people by pointing out that I am homosexual, and then they tell you: ‘You don’t have your place in the stadium if you are homosexual’, they insult you, there are threats, a whole group effect with pressure behind you… I intervened twice, there was no reaction Next Sunday during OM-PSG we will have these same chants.

“We must stop the match when there are homophobic chants”

“I think of the little kids who haven’t come out and who hear that, I put myself in their place. The LFP has done awareness workshops, it’s a good thing but behind it continues, we have to sanctions and action by the public authorities We must stop the match. I also blame the players, they could stop the match themselves by denouncing the homophobia. We would have heard monkey cries, we would have stopped the match. We must immediately combat all discrimination. We must strike hard, as with racism in football, we have the means to do so.”
