The Gree-Tour de Guangxi 2024 has delivered its verdict! The 6th stage, contested this Sunday around Nanning, did not upset the general classification, and it is therefore Lennert Van Eeetveltleader since his victory the day before at the summit of Nongla, which succeeds the Dutchman in the Chinese race Milan Father (Team Visma | Lease a Bike), the Belgian having arrived in a peloton of around fifty riders who competed for victory in the sprint. It’s Slovenian Matevz Govekar (Bahrain Victorious) who won this last stage, his third victory of the season after a stage of Tour d’Antalya at the start of the season and another on the Tour of Britain much more recently.

A top 5 for Matîs Louvel, three Blues in the top five overall
The young and fast 24-year-old runner beat the Dutchman Marijn van den Berg (EF Education-EasyPost), close to bringing a second victory in a few hours to his team after that of Neilson Powless on theUtsunomiya Japan Cup Road Raceand his Australian teammate Robert Stannardwho signs his best result since his return from suspension for doping. For his last day of racing with the team jersey Arkéa-B&B Hotels on his back, the Frenchman Matis Louvel took fifth place.
In the general ranking, Lennert Van Eetvelt wins in front of the Briton Oscar Onley (Team dsm-firmenich PostNL) and the French Alex Baudin (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team). The latter offers his first final podium in a WorldTour stage race. Two other Tricolores finished in the top 5 of this 5th edition, Victor Lafay (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team) – went on the attack several times this Sunday – and Pavel Sivakov (UAE Team Emirates) finishing fourth and fifth respectively.
